Type Safari

Cornish Year 2
Autumn '14

Type is all around us, learn to see it in everyday life.
Type Safari was an opportunity to catalogue and identify typefaces we frequently see but don’t observe. Over the course of the semester collect photos of different typefaces, compiling them into a booklet. At least three pictures must accompany each typeface, along with a short description for the typeface’s history/background.
Honestly a favorite project of mine. One that got myself and many classmates to nerd out over every bit of type we came across, quizzing each other, teasing over obnoxious typefaces. It was a fun project that still has me asking quite often to myself, “What typeface is that?”
